The reason you\u2019re seeing these fees is that many LTL carriers are plugging location-intelligence services into their pricing and billing workflows.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the system classifies your pickup or delivery address as residential or limited access, <\/span>the carrier\u2019s transportation management system (TMS) automatically adds the charges<\/b>. In most cases, there is little room to dispute those fees later because<\/span> the location classification is part of the carrier\u2019s own internal and uniform process<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
